How do I complete and submit a quiz?

Quizzes can be found throughout your courses, both practical and graded. This guide discusses how to navigate to, complete, and submit a quiz.

Navigating to a quiz

It's possible to access a quiz from multiple points in the Learning Zone. The below locations apply both in a web browser and in the Canvas Student app.

Submitting a quiz

If you are attempting the quiz for the first time, read the instructions carefully, taking into account the time limit and specific requirements.

In a web browser, click on Begin. If you have already started the quiz, click on the Resume button.   

In the Canvas Student app, click Launch external tool.

Answer all the questions in the quiz carefully. Once you have reached the end of the quiz, click on Submit.  

A pop-up will appear notifying you that you cannot change your answers once you have submitted the quiz. If you would like to review your answers, click Cancel, or if you are happy with your responses, click Submit. 

If you have left any questions unanswered, a warning message will pop up notifying you of how many questions have been left unanswered and whether you want to submit anyway. Click on Cancel to attempt the unanswered questions; if you are satisfied that you have answered all the questions to the best of your ability, click on the “Ok” button to proceed.
