About Prof. Noel Tagoe

Dean, Nile Business School

Prof. Noel Tagoe is a globally recognized thought leader and consultant in finance, education, strategy, technology, and sustainability. He brings a wealth of leadership experience from academia, professional bodies, and corporate advisory roles.

He previously served as Professor of Accounting Practice at Nottingham University Business School, and as Executive Vice President, Research & Curricula at AICPA–CIMA (Association of International Certified Professional Accountants – Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), where he led the development of global competency frameworks that are shaping the future of the accounting profession.

Prof. Tagoe has advised leading organizations in the automotive, aviation, financial services, and FMCG sectors on finance transformation, digital strategy, managing disruption, and sustainability/ESG. His earlier corporate experience includes roles at BP and Elf Aquitaine (now TotalEnergies), leadership at KPMG Ghana, and teaching positions at the University of Oxford, University of Manchester, and University College Dublin.

A former member of the Board of Directors for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the global professional body for HR and people development, Prof. Tagoe remains deeply engaged in advancing the future of business education and leadership development across Africa and beyond.

He holds degrees from the University of Ghana, University of Dundee, and the University of Oxford, and is a Fellow of CIMA.
